A Who's Who of Brooklyn

Ever wonder who your well known Brooklynite neighbors are? From Brooklyn Heights to Williamsburg, we run down the familiar faces of the borough.

Park Slope
"The Big Lebowski" stars Steve Buscemi and John Turturro have each lived in Park Slope for decades. No reports on whether they ever head south to Melody Lanes to bowl a few frames, but if they did, you can be sure Donny never "marks it zero." Also rounding out the Park Slope roster are U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer (when he’s not in his D.C. "Alpha House"), Maggie Gyllenhaal and hubby Peter Sarsgaard, Patrick Stewart and Mayor Bill de Blasio, though he currently resides at Gracie Mansion on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Clinton Hill
Brooklyn-born Rosie Perez proudly carves out a friendly community for herself in Clinton Hill. She told WNYC’s Brian Lehrer that if new residents feel they’re having trouble fitting in, "saying hello to your neighbor is a great start. Even if you’re in a bad mood, just give me a nod."

Fort Greene
Just one nabe over from Rosie, "The Americans" star, Keri Russell makes Fort Greene her home. Ever noticed that 1986 Washington, D.C. looks a whole lot like 2015 Brooklyn in the TV show? "The Americans" is filmed at a Brooklyn studio and on location around New York City and the surrounding suburbs, making it an easy commute for Keri.

Prospect Heights
U.S. Congressman Hakeem Jeffries was born in Crown Heights and lives in Prospect Heights. He currently represents a large swath of Brooklyn, and part of Queens, as the Eighth Congressional District's democratic representative.

Brooklyn Heights
Paul Giamatti has made Brooklyn Heights his home since 2010. Recently, his Showtime series "Billions" has been filming on the nearby Brooklyn Promenade. So add him to the list of Brooklyn celebs who are lucky enough to work near home.

Williamsburg
Zoe Kravitz, star of the "Divergent" films and daughter to Lenny Kravtiz and Lisa Bonet calls trendy Williamsburg, Home. In fact, the actress/singer/model can frequently be spotted snagging a quick breakfast at Café Mogador.

Cobble Hill
Crooner Norah Jones has lived in Cobble Hill for some time recently purchased an enviable Pacific Street carriage house, once featured in the film "Eat, Pray, Love." With astounding architecture, quaint tree-lined streets and lush parks, it's no surprise that civilians and celebs alike flock to beautiful Brooklyn.
