At husband-and-wife-owned The Good Batch you'll find a mouthwatering assortment of ice cream sandwiches including The Crispy Ice Cream Sandwich, a combination of Rice Krispies and caramel surrounding Blue Marble vanilla, and The Mint Brownie Magic Ice Cream Sandwich, featuring gluten-free brownie cookies and Blue Marble mint ice cream. In addition to ice cream sandwiches, The Good Batch offers a mouthwatering selection of cakes, cookies and other sweet delights and can be regularly found at Smorgasburg.

Their eponymous Harlem Shake is a red velvet delight featuring rich, thick ice cream and decadent cake crumbles. Other flavors include classic vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, plus innovative options like double chocolate bacon and peach. Open seven days a week, the friendly staff at Harlem Shake also serves up great burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and brunch.

 

Milk Sugar Love Jersey City

If you like your ice cream organic and local: Make your way to Jersey City to visit local favorite Milk Sugar Love. Frequently named among the top ice cream shops in the entire state, Milk Sugar Love specializes in a rotating assortment of original flavors including earl grey fudge, lemon olive oil, honey lavender and fruity pebbles, alongside an array of delicious baked goods. A favorite of Dixon tenants Erika and Roberto and their two sons, the Milk Sugar Love ice cream truck can also be found at summertime festivals around Hoboken and Jersey City.

 

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream

If you like your ice cream artisanal or vegan: Check out Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream. Van Leeuwan is devoted to creating phenomenal ice cream using natural, fresh ingredients. Their classic ice cream is made from milk and cream, cane sugar and egg yolks in flavors like candied ginger, passion fruit layer cake and lemon meringue pie, while the vegan version is made with housemade cashew milk, organic coconut milk, extra virgin coconut oil, cane sugar and pure cocoa butter in flavors like caramelized banana nut and matcha green tea. What started out of a Brooklyn apartment in 2007 has grown into a burgeoning ice cream empire with numerous locations throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan, plus some in Los Angeles as well.
